Hello and welcome
how does one live their life? Do they go through the motions and except what happens and who they are should people constantly hate what they do or hate themselves? Or should people just do what every they please and be in a constant state of happiness?
It is my intention to Examine my life and in an attempt to get a better understanding f what it truly means to be a person.
taken from the book "Climbing Jacobs Ladder"
Eack week a different principle, in one year, each principle has had 4 weeks to be lived. A daily journal to myself and a weekly update to the blog about my understandings and what I have learned.
the Thirteen topics come from a Judaic principle on the reflection one should do too oneself at the end of the day, In order to understand if the day was good and if anything needs to be done later.
This idea was first theorized by Rabbi Mendel of Satanow in his book "Heshbon ha-Nefesh"character traits , published in 1845. We take thirteen character traits , examine one for a week for a full year. that is one trait for 4 weeks we start the day be going over an overview of the trait and then remember it in our everyday actions. then reflect at the end of the day.
Each week will start on Saturday and end on Friday evening. there will be two posts a week if I can keep up with it and I hope to do so. one describing the week and what I interpret that I will do. and then an end of the week summary including my encounters and how I lived that week according to its trait.
This will be a challenge, an adventure, a trip, and a quest to find who someone is and how to Walk through this world and find your peace.
Enjoy the Journey :)
